A critique of Modern Times essays
A scrutinize of Modern Times expositions Charles Chaplin was a symbol during the early piece of the twentieth century, and even a long time after his demise despite everything adored by numerous individuals as a funny virtuoso. However, truth be told, scarcely any will know the man behind the tramp. The man who picked making individuals giggle as his journey throughout everyday life, likewise carefully carried genuine social and policy driven issues to the consideration of his crowds. The film which this paper studies, Modern Times (1936), is on one hand a rich parody, particularly to watchers unconscious of the serious truth of America during the age inside which the film is set. However, then again, the humorous point of Modern Times was to introduce a political explanation which many saw in its day to be a rough assault on private enterprise. This film, with all its droll diversion, truth be told, is a delicate, genuine political explanation. This, in spite of the fact that at the time denied to the press, was not as cle ar as later works by Chaplin, for example, his next film, the Great Dictator, which was his very own unconcealed impression sees on the political circumstance during 1939. Initially titled The Masses, Modern Times has incited the leader of the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) J. Edger Hoover, to open a record on Charlie Chaplin and his connection and exercises with companions, who were likewise viewed as radicals. These radicals included, to give some examples, perhaps the best psyche of the twentieth century, Albert Einstein, the mentally keen British political figure, Harold Laski, and the creator H. G. Wells. Present day Times, recorded from 1932 to 1936, is set during the years driving up and through the Great Depression period of the 1930s in America. The proposal of the film tends to a few subjects of the time, utilizing different key components of change to the story line. The point of this paper is to parse Modern Times into a few individual contentions introduced I... <!

Transfer College Essay Samples - How to Use Engineering Essay Samples
Transfer College Essay Samples - How to Use Engineering Essay SamplesTransfer college essay samples are important for your engineering major when you are going to be submitting a college essay for a major in a specific industry. The purpose of the college essay is to deliver your thoughts, as they pertain to the industry, to a group of people. For the most part, if you do not transfer college essay samples, it will be an uphill battle for you, as most engineering majors are going to be looking at what they can put into their paper, not your personal opinion. You will want to look through your own writing and think about which essay samples would be appropriate for engineering majors. When looking for essay samples for your engineering major, you should keep in mind that most of these will focus on technology. Engineering tends to have a lot of applications and engineering technology focuses on engineering. The biggest difference between them is that engineers tend to focus on the phys ical application and software engineers focus on the technical application. So for the purpose of writing for your engineering major, you should look at your own science and math projects. These types of essays focus on human emotion, rather than the physical application. By focusing on the human side of the project, you can keep it from becoming too technical. However, because engineers focus on the technical application, you may find that these types of projects will be too technical to use for engineering.A great deal of engineering projects have engineering quality elements in them. However, there are projects that are just silly and do not have much meaning to them. To write about something like this, you should find a project that has a purpose that the writer can really grasp. Look for something like an old cardboard box from the local hardware store. Find a person, such as yourself, who will get a purpose from this item.Next, look for the emotional side of the project. Many e ngineers will find something to work with, but a majority of engineers will just do a quick and dirty job and come back the next day. The result is that it looks terrible and the project is not used. It's good to have the emotional side to your project, but make sure that you do not overdo it.Look at your engineering projects from a different angle. Rather than seeing the project as a technical one, consider it from a human perspective. This can come from reading books and blogs about the project, talking to the engineer who created the project, and talking to other engineers who have used the project before. The human side of projects like this will help you understand the emotions behind the project. Most engineers look at things from a mechanical perspective, so they will understand the paper. They will be able to see how the project came together from the mechanical side of things. However, they may not see the human side of it. As an engineer, it is important to know about the h uman side of things, as it can really help you understand things better. Find a paper that focuses on this, but make sure that you do not overdo it.The essay should be similar to the paper you wrote for your engineering major. However, you should make sure that it does not take away from your engineering knowledge. Writing an essay is something that is necessary, and it is important to consider where your background comes from and what your career goals are.

Essential Irony Story Elaborates
Question: Discuss about the Essential Irony for Story Elaborates. Answer: Introduction The short stories of Tell-Tale Heart and Cask of Amontillado were written by the author Allan Poe respectively in the year 1843 and 1846(Hammond). Both of these short stories have a similar gothic and an atmosphere that is mysterious through the plot setting. The Tell-Tale Heart differ on the reason that there is a killing of an innocent man, Cask of Amontillado explain on the theory of unity, and people should not revenge for wrongful doing. It explores on how the character referred as Montresor wants to revenge on Fortunato for unspecifield insults by luring him to the family vaults to inspect the wine he had purchased. According to Poe, he highlights an opportunity that is unique to analyzing to the way individuals behave across the short stories, whereby as reader you ought to study the minds of persons who are insane, and they claim they are sane. The plot of the two short stories shows there is a lot fear, and they make the rise of the tension as the timeline of the story escalate.(Poe, Edgar Allan) Moreover, this is seen to both of the stories even though they differ on the how the events develops. Tell-Tale Heart short story begin at the prison or can be referred to the health center for mental cases that is most likely. Main character elaborates on the preceding of the actions he did, that made him be taken to that place. This clearly demonstrates we know the plot of the story. The use of the technique of the flashback makes the readers focus clearly on the concepts that they regard to be less important. One such aspect is ask is why do heartbeat seem to very loud? In this story, it illustrates how the noise at the time had arisen over all and it gradually increased , which eventually grew louder. These dark events are significant in this short story, they do not only make the story to be thrilling by the anaphor, but the story also leads individuals to the most comprehension that is on the right track towards the main character behaviors on the reasons why he is driven by his state of mind at the time(Hayes). The way the writes the stories makes the tension in the story to rise more so towards the end of the stories. It can sometimes feel as if the text itself is speeding up for the readers since it is action packed towards the end as it contains many repetitions and the use of the exclamation marks. Nonetheless, there is the use of the monolog that is a critical and a central aspect to both of the stories and it affects the atmosphere, since the main characters are engaging themselves more. No other person tries to calm them down in any way or asks how they are doing; in fact, they become crazier if confronted(Harvey). In the story of Cask of Amontillado is on the atmosphere during the Carnival season, which is a kind of the Mardi Gras during the period when every individual are in the Masquerade and thus appealing to something, which is not the case. The story is embedded on dark and a mysterious tale of Montresor and his friend Fortunato(Harvey). This character makes sure that all his servant were not at home to prevent him plotting his plan by giving them strict orders not to leave. He also makes sure that Fortunato would follow him to the cellar of wine by exploiting on his pride and asking him not to go. Nonetheless, Montresor clearly knows the plot he has is going to end this makes it possible for him to play the little ironical tricks on Fortunato. For example, in an instance, Fortunato says that he will not die of a cough, Montresor knowingly replies to this as true. Another example is when Fortunato drinks a toast to the dead that were lying at the catacombs around the place they were, Mon tresor ironically also drinks to Fortunato long life(Poe). Essential irony in the story elaborates deeper than these aspects; in essence, at the start, Montresor explain there are the two major criteria of carrying a revenge. One is them is Avengers should be punished without them being punished in return, and they should be regarded as the Avenger to the individual have done the wrong. Nonetheless, there is no part in the short story has Montresor told Fortunato he was plotting a revenge. Besides Montresor explains to Fortunato on the story a crime he committed 50 years ago it, which clearly suggests Montresor is himself now, and he is dying and confessing. This shows that Fortunato is seen as a priest who is regarded as his final confessor(Harvey). The crime of Montresor crime against Fortunato can further be supported in the story on the details of Montresor coat of arm. This metonymic represents that Montresor is clearly crushing metaphoric of the serpent Fortunato for the bite. The major irony of this story comes when Montresor tried to fulfil the 2 criteria of revenge; Fortunately for Fortunato he had performed on this better than Montresor did. Moreover, the tone that is elaborated on the story suggested that he was enjoying telling it now just as he had enjoyed committing the crime in the past(Hammond). This evident on the surface, the story seemed to be a simple revenge narration, but in that, it is a complicated story that is riddled with ironical attires. All the details elaborated in the story contributes to the central effects, and it tells the overall design, which communicates the meaning(Hammond). Comparisons and contrast If we take a deeper look into the spectacular personalities in both of the stories, we make interpretation and conclusion that the protagonists are defending their extreme behaviors they exhibit. This, for example, is seen in Tell-Tale Heart where the protagonist tries to argue for the things he had committed several times(Harvey). This can also be seen on the Cask of Amontillado when Montresor highlights the crimes he had committed against Fortunato as a confession to save his soul. The denial of the madness can almost appear logical to some people. Nonetheless, it cannot justify the means of mitigating the circumstances. Another similarity between the two stories is the setting of the plot(Hayes). The story is set in a mystical atmosphere, and there is a lot of fear, which makes the tension rise up as the timeline of the stories develops. In additions, the two stories the protagonists contemplate and confess on the actions they had done in the past. The TELL Tale Heart shows the ma in character is in the prison, and he has flashbacks of the things he has done(Poe). On the same is seen on the Cask of Amontillado when the protagonists confess to the crime he committed fifty years ago before he took his revenge. Besides, it is also evident that the two titles say a lot about the narrators. In the story of Tell Tale Heart, it can be related to the narrator and his own heart. The individuals cannot bear the actions he has done at last, and we can clearly think this is related to his own heart that keeps pounding so hard towards the end of the story due to the feelings of guilty. This equally applies to the other story the narrator is so oppressed by his guilty feeling that he confess to the crimes he committed fifty years ago to save his soul(Poe, Edgar Allan). The difference that exists between the two stories in Tell-Tale Heart an innocent man is killed for the wrong that he had not committed on the other story Montresor wants to kill Fortunato for the general in sult he claimed has committed(Poe). Conclusion The author of the short stories Poe has mastered on the genre by creating a very fearful environment; more so making the home a place that is frightening. The author was able to change the abilities of the human nature to become an entirely big aspect, which made the stories to be complex to analyze and we as the readers ought to think like the psychologist to grasp the right comprehension of these stories that are unique. The stories explores on the aspect of killing an innocent man for Tell Tale Heart and the other a friend want to kill another for unspecified insult that is not highlighted. The individual takes advantage that the friend is drunk and lures him to catacomb an underground cemetery that belong to their family. The two stories are based on the various elements; these are both have characters, they both have a plot or the plan that is conflicted on the actions of the characters, which keeps the readers alive. These stories have a deeper meaning and one needs to clearly explore to get the real issues raised as the case of Cask of Amontillado explores on the theory of unity. Work Cited Hammond, John R. Watergate Was The Name Of The Biggest Political Scandal In United Stat
Watergate was the name of the biggest political scandal in United States history. It included various illegal activities designed to help President Richard M. Nixon win reelection in 1972. Watergate resulted in Nixon's resignation from the presidency in 1974. Watergate differed from most previous political scandals because personal greed apparently did not play an important role. Instead, Watergate represented an attack on one of the chief features of a democracy--free and open elections. The Watergate activities included burglary, wiretapping, violations of campaign financing laws, and sabotage and the attempted use of government agencies to harm political opponents. The scandal also involved a cover-up of many of those actions. About 40 people were charged with crimes in the scandal and with related crimes. Most of these people were convicted by juries or pleaded guilty. Watergate involved more high-level government officials than any previous political scandal. It led to the conviction on criminal charges in 1975 of former Attorney General John N. Mitchell and two of Nixon's top aides, John D. Ehrlichman and H. R. Haldeman. Also in 1975, former Secretary of Commerce Maurice H. Stans, a leader of Nixon's reelection campaign, pleaded guilty to Watergate criminal charges and was fined $5,000. Watergate also had resulted in the resignation of Attorney General Richard G. Kleindienst in 1973. The break-in and cover-up. The scandal took its name from the Watergate complex of apartment and office buildings in Washington, D.C. On June 17, 1972, police arrested five men for breaking into the Democratic Party's national headquarters there. One of the burglars was James W. McCord, Jr., the security coordinator of the Committee for the Re-election of the President (CRP). The five men--along with G. Gordon Liddy, another CRP aide; and E. Howard Hunt, Jr., a White House consultant--were indicted for a number of crimes, including burglary and wiretapping. In January 1973, five of the seven, including Hunt, pleaded guilty. The other two--Liddy and McCord--were found guilty by a jury. Nixon's press secretary had said repeatedly that the scandal involved no member of the White House staff. But the press found evidence that White House aides had helped finance sabotage and spying operations against candidates for the 1972 Democratic presidential nomination. Reporters Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward of The Washington Post led the investigation. Early in 1973, evidence was uncovered that tied several top White House aides to plans for the Watergate break-in or to concealment of evidence that implicated members of the Nixon Administration. The evidence indicated that White House officials had tried to involve the Central Intelligence Agency and the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the cover-up. These officials falsely claimed that national security was involved. On April 30, 1973, Nixon stated that he had no part in either planning the Watergate break-in or covering it up. He promised that the Department of Justice would appoint a special prosecutor to handle the case. In May, Archibald Cox, a Harvard Law School professor, was named to that position. Also in May, the Senate Select Committee on Presidential Campaign Activities began hearings on Watergate. Senator Sam J. Ervin, Jr., of North Carolina headed the committee. Former Presidential Counsel John W. Dean III became the chief witness against Nixon in the hearings. Dean admitted that he had played a major role in a White House cover-up and charged that Nixon knew of his activities. Dean also revealed Administration plans to use the Internal Revenue Service and other government agencies to punish opponents whom the White House had placed on so-called enemies lists. Dean was later sentenced to a prison term of 1 to 4 years. After serving four months, his sentence was reduced to that time a nd he was released. The tape controversy. In July, the Senate committee learned that Nixon had secretly made tape recordings of conversations in his White House offices since 1971. The committee and Cox believed the tapes could answer key questions raised in their investigations. They asked Nixon to supply them with certain tapes, but he refused to do so. Nixon argued that, as President, he had a constitutional right to keep the tapes confidential. In August, Cox and the committee sued Nixon to obtain the tapes. U.S. District Court Judge John J. Sirica decided to review the tapes himself

Analytical Essay Sample on #8220;Oedipus Rexââ¬Â by Sophocles
Analytical Essay Sample on #8220;Oedipus Rexâ⬠by Sophocles Greek tragic dramas are based on myths and are representations of human dilemmas, which often formed on conflicts between men and gods. The Oedipal myth was transformed into a compelling theatrical work, ââ¬Å"Oedipus Rexâ⬠, by Sophocles. As conventional in Greek tragedies, Oedipus is portrayed as a heroic protagonist, led to his downfall by his tragic flaw, ââ¬Ëhubrisââ¬â¢, error of judgement, ââ¬Ëhamartiaââ¬â¢, and most importantly, fate. Symbolism reflects Oedipusââ¬â¢ entrapment by fate and foreshadows his future. Tension is built up in the audience through dramatic irony and released at the ââ¬Ëcatharsisââ¬â¢, which also arouses pity and fear. All these dramatic elements are characteristic of ancient Greek tragedies. Oedipus displays qualities of a classic Greek tragic hero. Arrogance and short-tempered determination form his hubris. His heroic self-pride is shown in his announcement, ââ¬Å"The world knows my fame: I am Oedipus.â⬠Oedipusââ¬â¢ hamartia is his decision to seek the truth of his birth and Laiusââ¬â¢ death, disregarding advice from Tiresias to desist. Determination drives Oedipus to act upon his decision as he orders Tiresias to speak out. Oedipusââ¬â¢ short temper is conveyed in his immediate response to Tiresiasââ¬â¢ unwillingness to speak, raging at the elderly, respected prophet, ââ¬Å"You scum of the earth, youââ¬â¢d enrage a heart of stone.â⬠This same short temper had led Oedipus to unknowingly slay his father in the ââ¬Ëroad rageââ¬â¢ incident, where Oedipusââ¬â¢ anger was sparked to a murderous extreme simply because he was pushed aside. Arrogance led Oedipus to believe he could escape fate. Like his parents, Oedipus was presented with fearful prophecies. Laius and Jocasta attempted to avoid these prophecies by killing their son. As in most Greek tragedies, the gods prevail and their son lives. Oedipus as a young man believed he could escape this horrific fate by leaving who he believed to be his parents. Fate directed him to his home town where he is destined to murder his father and marry his mother. However, the very quality of Oedipusââ¬â¢ hubris, his arrogance in defying fate and prophecy, is the same quality that enabled him to earlier confront and defeat the Sphinx and save an oppressed city. This theme of human paradox is carried in many Greek dramas. ââ¬Å"Oedipus Rexâ⬠is notable for its use of dramatic irony, able to be employed effectively due to the familiarity of audiences with the Oedipal myth. The first instance of dramatic irony occurs when Oedipus claims to the citizens of Thebes and indirectly the audience, ââ¬Å"you can trust me.â⬠This is dramatically ironic as the audience, aware of the sin he has unknowingly committed, experience difficulty in drawing trust for the king, but later pities Oedipusââ¬â¢ innocent determination to help Thebes ââ¬Å"drive corruption from the landâ⬠¦root it out!â⬠Most irony is developed in Oedipusââ¬â¢ pursuit of Laiusââ¬â¢ murderer, inadvertently pursuing himself. This irony is emphasised by Oedipusââ¬â¢ persistence of the matter, summoning and interrogating Tiresias and encouraging the citizens to speak out. Oedipusââ¬â¢ firm belief that those who raised him were his biological parents is also ironic. Dramatic irony involves the audience and encourag es viewers to feel sympathy for Oedipus before the fatal truth of his birth is revealed. The structure of ââ¬Å"Oedipus Rexâ⬠reflects that of an Greek tragedy. Tension accumulates in the audience as the truth of Oedipusââ¬â¢ birth dawns on the shepherd and Jocasta. The anagnorisis marks the point at which the heroic protagonist, Oedipus, previously in ignorance, gains knowledge of the truth. This revelation of the truth is the emotional climax of the play, preceding the catastrophe, at which Oedipus blinds himself. The peripeteia is the reversal of situation from good to bad, and in ââ¬Å"Oedipus Rexâ⬠, closely follows the anagnorisis as Oedipusââ¬â¢ previous strong state is hurled into a world of confusion and guilt. The end effect of his earlier actions is the denouement, where guilt and horror drive him to gouge out his eyes. This action provokes fear and horror in the audience. The catharsis, an essential part of tragedy and marks the play out as a classical Greek tragic drama, refers to the emotional discharge by the audience at the finale. The audience is relieved of tension and emotion accumulated throughout the play. Oedipusââ¬â¢ exile, separation from his daughters, and blind state arouse pity in viewers. The chorus reflects the audienceââ¬â¢s thoughts in the play, crying, ââ¬Å"I pity you but I canââ¬â¢t bear to look.â⬠Symbolism is a dramatic element used to reflect Oedipusââ¬â¢ situation and foreshadow his future. Oedipusââ¬â¢ name, ââ¬Ëswollen footââ¬â¢ symbolizes the confinement and constraint of his movements by Apolloââ¬â¢s prophecy to Laius. Numerous references are made to eyesight and vision. Although famed for his clear-sightedness and quick comprehension, Oedipus is blind to the truth. Tiresias is blind, but sees the truth. He symbolizes the state Oedipus will become after gaining insight ââ¬â blind, but with knowledge. Choral odes offer close commentary on the action of the play, acting as a mediator between gods and men and between the characters in the drama and the audience. The chorus, a traditional element of Greek tragedy, clarifies the situation to the audience and enables greater understanding of the play and philosophical values within it. For example, following Creonââ¬â¢s final words, the chorus comments on Oedipusââ¬â¢ fate, ââ¬Å"now as we keep our watch and wait the final day, count no man happy till he dies, free of pain at last.â⬠To Aristotle, a Greek tragedy critic, tragedy must arouse the emotions of fear, wonder and awe. He believed the best type of tragedy to involve reversal of a situation, recognition from a character, and suffering through a complex plot. ââ¬Å"Oedipus Rexâ⬠satisfies all these characteristics and can therefore be considered a great example of an classical Greek tragic drama.

The Osprey
The Osprey Most of you know that I live on the banks of a huge lake. With about four hundred feet of frontage on a cove, I am lucky to experience all sorts of wildlife. In the morning, birds sing, dance, dip and dive, happy at being awake. Ducks, coots, and geese paddle in the water then wander up to my bird feeder, scavenging for kicked-out seed. In the evening, deer peer out of the woods, nibbling corn my husband tosses out. He laughs about putting their carcasses in our freezer for dinner, but I know he enjoys watching them come and go, feeling safe. Today, however, I watched an osprey land on a branch thirty feet off the ground, right outside my study window. Ospreys love Lake Murray for its ample bass population, and the residents love watching these gorgeous birds of prey fly, dive and strategically snare a fish from the water. This one sat for a long time, allowing me to pull out my binoculars. White head and chest. Yellow eyes, curved beak, he watched the water like the hawk he was. The breeze ruffled across his back and rear feathers, and he adjusted his balance a couple of times. But he never took his eye off the water. Ducks swam off to the side. Turtles plopped off logs off to the side as if understanding this bird meant business. Finally he dove, smacking the water with talons, then flew away, his dinner unable to even flop it was so evenly gripped. Ive seen these birds come up empty. Ive seen them attempt three and four times before successfully snaring their food. They never get frustrated. They dont let other animals bother them. The wind can blow one way then another. Regardless, they focus on their mission, and dont leave until theyve won. Osprey are beautiful creatures, living life their way. They dont care who sees them miss. They dont stop until they succeed. And in between their fishing duties, they soar, watching, learning, and enjoying the journey. Try being an osprey.

If the population of India continues to grow at the present rate, it is anticipated that it would have crossed the limit of 1700 million, which would be even more than the population of China. At the present rate of growth of population, India gets 16 million more people to take care of on a yearly basis. This paper discusses the effects of overpopulation in India. Population crisis in India is causing a lot of social, health, and technical problems, which endanger the solidarity and stability of India. Overpopulation in India is also a cause of myriad of social problems. People have an urge to have boys. People live in extreme poverty, to alleviate which, they encourage their children to enter the workforce in their childhood rather than getting them educated in schools. In fact, one of the main reasons of overpopulation is poverty. Poverty is bo th a cause and effect of overpopulation in India. Since India is conventionally a male-dominated society, having girls is not appreciated in India. People find it hard to marry their daughters since they have to give dowry, which they cannot afford owing to their poverty. Many Indians either abort their baby girls during pregnancy, or kill them immediately after they are born in an attempt to shed off the weight on their shoulders. Continuation of this practice over the decades has led to an imbalance between the population of men and women in India. The population of men outweighs that of the women which has led to spread in the culture of brothel houses, rape, and incest in India. Overpopulation of men in India plays a role in making it an even more conservative society, wherein women are denied their rights of working shoulder to shoulder with men. Another social problem caused by overpopulation in India is increase in crime rate. There are a lot of candidates for a single job. A ccordingly, many are left unemployed. In order to make both ends meet, people tend to acquire money through illegitimate means, thus indulging into such acts of crime as theft and robbery. It is not hard to hire a man to get someone killed in India as the frustrated poor people would agree to do anything for money. This has helped the terrorists to gain more control in India as they pay such poor people to practice their evil machinations. In addition to that, overpopulation in India has led to civil unrest and a lot of communal tensions. Overpopulation in India has exposed the people of India to a lot of health risks. Diseases like hepatitis, cancer, and AIDS are spreading rapidly. The fundamental cause of the spread of hepatitis is lack of supply of clean water for drinking. Malnutrition also increases the chances of an individual to acquire hepatitis. Millions of Indians acquire some sort of cancer every year as a result of living in a polluted environment. Among all sorts of pol lutions, air pollution and water pollution are amongst the most frequent causes of cancer in India. More and more Indians are acquiring AIDS because of lack of sex education, lack of use of contraception, and the availability of brothel houses. These and many more similar health risks have led to an increase in the spread of diseases in India. People are too poor to afford good health care. The mortality rate has surged up as a result of poor health care facilities. Overpopulation

Their theory states that a stitch in time saves time. Their failure was caused by their not supporting real time strategy making nor encourages creative accidents. c) Positioning school - This was founded by Sun Tzu in his literary work The Art of War. This school concentrated on economics or the industrial organization and the military history. This school was championed by consulting boutiques type of business and United States writers. They espouse the theory of analyzing things. The message that was received by their listeners was that they should calculate their every move and not concentrate on creating or committing. This the ory belonged also to the Prescriptive management school of thought. Their theory was to consider only the facts of in management decision making. Their shortfall was due to their strategy being reduced to generic positions that were selected thru formalized analysis of industry. d) The Entrepreneurial school was established by J A Schump and A H Cole with collaboration from other economics faculty. American Antislavery 1820-1860 :: History African Americans Essays
American Antislavery 1820-1860 missing works cited The antebellum American antislavery movement began in the 1820s and was sustained over 4 decades by organizations, publications, and small acts of resistance that challenged the legally protected and powerful institution of slavery and the more insidious enemy of black equality, racism. Abolitionists were always a radical minority even in the free states of the North, and the movement was never comprised of a single group of people with unified motivations, goals, and methods. Rather, the movement was fraught with ambiguity over who its leaders would be, how they would go about fighting the institution of slavery, and what the future would be like for black Americans. Some of the persisting goals of antislavery activism were legal emancipation, aid to runaway slaves through vigilance groups and the Underground Railroad, civil rights for freed blacks in the north, and education, suffrage, and economic advancement for African-Americans. Perhaps the most unifying ideal of the anti-slavery movement was that the racial basis for American slavery could be undermined by promoting Christian values, education and economic progress among free blacks to show that they were capable of succeeding as individuals in an integrated American society. Richard Allen, leader of the A.M.E. church, stated the case for black progress as an answer to the justifications of slaveholders: ââ¬Å"if we are lazy and idol, the enemies of freedom plead it as a cause why we ought not to be free.â⬠In addition to the connection between abolition and economic and social progress, most abolitionists worked for the assurance of civil rights and legal protection for free blacks, who lived in an anomalous condition of ââ¬Å"freedomâ⬠without citizenship and with constant threat of discrimination, violence, and abduction to be sold into slavery. There were some bitter conflicts over specific strategies. Though Garrison and most blacks favored immediate abolition, many whites continued to prefer or express willingness to settle for gradual emancipation. Violent resistance was at first rejected by many, again under the influence of Garrison, but David Walkerââ¬â¢s appeal that violence should be used against slavery became more popular as blacks and abolitionists searched for an effective means of self-defense against mobs and pursuit of civil rights. Whether or not individuals worked within the political framework of the constitution to effect change again depended on allegiance to Garrison, and in general the early antislavery activists preferred moral arguments while later leaders were more willing to use political means.

A Prospective Cross Sectional Study Health And Social Care Essay
The importance in measuring the acceptableness to users of a Picture Archiving and Communication System in the infirmary connotes advancement by supplying quality images with good satisfaction than utilizing movie. In trauma instances, this will give advantage to occupants in the appraisal as early diagnosing is necessary. Besides in the Ob-Gyne section medical clearance affecting chest skiagraphy so that contemplated surgical processs can be done. This statement is still non proven, therefore survey on the impact of PACS on clinician shall function the intent. In our scenes, up until December 2011, determinations at the exigency room that rely on the skiagraphy entailed some waiting clip as what normally happens in film-based skiagraphy. The debut of PACS promises to alter this scenario in favor of quicker image handiness movie developing is omitted in the procedure. Quicker handiness of the radiogram due to the presence of networked computing machine system of sharing the digital images.AimDATA SUBSTRATESOPERATIONALLY DEFINED VARIABLESAnalysisTo find the impact of filmless imaging on the frequence with which physicians entree radiology images.Data assemblage sheetFrequency of the entree of doctor to radiology imagesQuantitative variable like frequence shall be analyzed utilizing mean and standard divergence. To measure clinician perceptual experience of image handiness with the usage of Picture Archiving and Communication System ( PACS ) .Data assemblage sheetPercept of clinician on image handinessQualitative variable will be analysing uti lizing proportion.Relationship of Research Objectives, Data Substrate, Operationally Defined Variables and Data AnalyIntroductionI. BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY:Filmless imagination is a construct which has changed health care. Picture Archiving and Communication Systems ( PACS ) are described as the ââ¬Å" centralised depository for all imagination informations and diagnostic images ( eg, x-rays, CT scans, MRI scans ) and radiology studies electronically to clinicians at the point-of-care, contradicting the demand for a film-base.1 Diagnostic imagination is a cardinal constituent of information impacting the attention a patient receives. Picture Archive and Communication Systems ( PACS ) are comprehensive webs of digital devices designed for acquisition, transmittal, storage, show, and direction of diagnostic imagination surveies. The construct of a digital image communicating and show system was devised in the 1970s, with the initial conference on PACS designs launched in 1982 ( Huang , 1999, 2003 ) . The U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command installed the ià ¬?rst large-scale PACS in the United States called the medical diagnostic imaging support system in 1992 ( Smith et al. , 1995 ) .2 Over the last 30 old ages PACS been developed for the intent of making more efficient and effectual health care. The construct of PACS was originally developed to better efficiency non merely in the radiology sections but besides in other sections like the exigency room. A figure of surveies have been conducted to find if PACS achieves its ends of bettering efficiency and effectivity within wellness systems. These surveies focus on its impacts on work flow, functions, patient results, and costs, with variable decisions. 3 Digital skiagraphy, this is the first movie free X ray imaging system in Mindanao. DDH ( Davao Doctors Hospital ) upgraded to CR ( Computed Radiography ) and implemented PACS ( Picture Archiving and Communication System ) for all imaging modes ( CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Radiography ) . In trauma instances, this will give advantage to occupants in the appraisal as early diagnosing is necessary. Besides in the Ob-Gyne section medical clearance affecting chest skiagraphy so that contemplated surgical processs can be done. In this survey, the occupants will give their appraisal on how PACS give impact to their work patterns in the exigency section in bettering clinical decision-making, and easing more efficient patient attention processes.II. REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATUREA Although the construct of image archiving and communications systems ( PACS ) was developed in Europe during the latter portion of the 1970s, no working system was completed at that clip. The first PACS executions took topographic point in the United States in the early 1980s, e.g. at Pennsylvania University, UCLA, and Kansas City University. Some more or less successful PACS developments besides took topographic point in Europe in the 1980s, peculiarly in the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Scandinavia, and Germany.4 PACS was expected to revolutionise and streamline the bringing of health care, helping communicating between radiotherapists and clinicians, bettering clinical decision-making, and easing more efficient patient attention processes. A In the USA 76 % of infirmaries reported utilizing PACS in 2008, A and in England and Scotland a national roll-out of PACS has been completed with the balance of UK infirmaries implementing it by 2012.A With the integrating of PACS into a figure of medical units outside radiology, the exigency section is one clinical country where PACS has the possible to significantly alter work patterns. The exigency section is a ââ¬Ëcomplex ââ¬Ë and ââ¬Ëdata-rich environment'A where clinicians continuously multi-task and utilize multiple information beginnings in order to supply optimal attention for critically sick patients. Images are built-in to patient attention, A with high volumes of imaging surveies conducted daily.A Rapid entree to these to back up decision-making can be of important importance. With the potency for imaging consequences to impact dramatically on a patient ââ¬Ës attention, the ED provides a good scene to measure how PACS can impact on and take to innovation in clinical work practices.5 In 2010, a survey done by I.M. Hains et Al assessed the grounds of PACS impact on ICU clinicians through a systematic literature reappraisal of 11 ( 11 ) English linguistic communication publications in the USA and UK. The survey revealed a positive impact potency for PACS on clinician ICU work patterns and patient attention. The survey besides showed that PACS elicits positive impact potency on efficiency of work patterns, work associated with clinical determination devising and communicating patterns. PACS engineering offers wellness attention providers the possible for long-run cost nest eggs in radiology services by extinguishing the disbursal of movie processing and storage, among other things. Quick image handiness with PACS in SPMC will do it easier for radiotherapists to pull off patient test work flow and will assist surgical occupants in the early diagnosing and intervention for injury instances. Political action committee in the infirmary connotes advancement by supplying quality images with good satisfaction than utilizing movie.III. RESEARCH QuestionWhat is the impact of PACS on surgical occupant ââ¬Ës direction of ER patients?IV. SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDYImproves more timely patient attention and allowing clinicians to do determinations more rapidly.V. Several factors can help to distinguish the number and quality of members, voting, discipline or schools of thought. Depending on each element, we will have several types of parties. The most common distinction In political science remains that which Is established by Maurice Diverge between Mass Party and Cadre Party. We must therefore distinguish different types of parties: A- The Cadre Party The Cadre Party was born in the nineteenth century. The Cadre Party itââ¬â¢s a parties they are parties of notables (resulting in a first time, the bourgeoisie or aristocracy) and traditionally are right or center. Example: the Radical Party in France. The first parties were historically Cadre Parties. It was Initially parliamentary groups together the reputation, prestige, and sometimes money. All these parties remain poorly structured. The authority is exercised within the party executive is both personal and decentralized. It normally operates at the district and national bodies cadre parties are little more than the Juxtaposition of local influences. B- The Mass Party The Mass Party was born in the early twentieth century with the development of Socialism and Communism. Their goal is the transformation of society and the creation of a new social order. For this, they rely on a structured and hierarchical organization and a large number of members and ensuring financial autonomy and supervision of party voters ; Example: the Socialist Party in France Unlike Cadre Parties, which are created spontaneously, Mass Parties were the result of a conscious . Notable party executives are reluctant to defend extreme positions, specially if they are contrary to their interest. These considerations explain the emergence in the late nineteenth century Mass Parties and the fact that the first of them were socialist parties. Two objectives necessitate the creation of a Mass Party: compensation by the number of low social influence of the proletariat and educational purposes. The operation of the Mass Party rigorously apply democratic principles. Members are similar to the electorate. They elect delegates to the congress who meet regularly and take the most important decisions: adoption and amendment of the statutes, election management bodies. Finite Element Method Fuse Protection Design-Myassignmenthelp.Com
Question: Discuss About The Finite Element Method Fuse Protection Design? Answer: Introducation 1A. There are many kinds of documents that are used in a business organization. These documents could include spreadsheets, databases, letters, memorandums, faxes, brochures, handouts to the employees, flyers, display materials, reports, project reports, sales reports, annual reports, prospectuses, policies, procedures, financial statements, invoices, bills, orders, tables, newsletters, agendas, minutes and circulars. The documents are based on the type of activities, the tasks and the activities creates the needs for documentation. For example, if in the organization there is need to inform the employees regarding a particular meeting that is going to be held in a particular day, then there will be need for drafting notices, memorandums or circulars for the employees, similarly there is requirement for drafting sales report and project reports. When new employees join any organization, many documentation formalities are done, the new employees are given joining letter, employee hand outs that consists of code and conduct of the organization and other documents related to the policies of the organization (Mihai-Adrian et al. 2017). The information technology of an organization helps a lot in designing of the documents and their products. Presently almost all the organizations use computer technology for designing of all the important documents, like the notices, circulars, memorandums, there are many softwares that help in designing documents for business organization. Templates are available online which makes it easier for document designing and production, format of business letters, notices, circulars and the format of all organization related documents are available online. Printers and fax machines are used for taking out the hard copies of the designed documents. Xerox machines are used to make the photocopies of the documents that are to be circulated amongst the employees. Scanners are used to convert the hard copies of the documents into soft copies which can be further circulated through electronic mails. Organizations have to make their logos and business cards. Document design and format depends on the type of activity for which the document is to be designed, for legal documents, generally a different kind of papers are used for designing legal documents, papers with rubber stamps are used for drafting agreements, contracts and all the other documents that have legal significance. All the documents are required to have the logo of the organization, with the stamp and signature of the Managing Director of the organization. According to the current trend Darwin Information Typing Architecture a model of XML data which is used for writing, DITA will be ruling the documentation sector even in the future. Other tools that are anticipated to be used in the future that will help the writers in creating and archiving documents in .XML format to PDF/DOC/ other praser format so that the documents can be presented whenever and in whatsoever way required. Future customers might want documents to be customized. The writers affect the user experience because of the user interface and the user design (Mihai-Adrian et al. 2017). Five types of documents required for business organizations are Business plan is a very important document that the business owner is required to write, the documents contains the goals, objectives, management plan, marketing strategies and the financial budget. Business plan also includes strategic goals of the organization. This document is drafted in the beginning when the organization is being set up, for the first five years, this document acts as the blueprint for the business operations (Wilson 2014). According to the format of business plan, it consist of executive summary, which is the snapshot of the business plan, it represents the company profile and the goals of the business. Next element is company description, which provides information about the business, the unique features that the business provides in the industry that differentiates it from other businesses. Market analysis report is included in the business plan, market analysis and research is done before the business is started and a report of market analysis is included in the business plan. Organization and management related information, information regarding the service and the product line of the organization, strategies and information related to the marketing and the sales of the business. If any funding is raised from outside, the business plan should include the funding request information. Financial projections are very important for raining funds and this should be included in the draft of business plan. The last part of the business plan is Appendix, it is used for including additional information like, resumes, permits and leases (Wilson 2014). Accounting Documents Another important document for any business are the accounting documents, accounting documents keeps records of all the transactions of the business organizations, purchases, sales, income and expenses all are recorded on daily basis. Accountants provides bills to the customers, they make monthly budgets for the various departments of the company, the accountants write the annual financial reports for the investors and shareholders of the company. Financial budgets, reports are generally long but the invoices are not that much long (Wilson 2014). Business reports Business reports are other business documents, which are of 10 to 100 pages, it can be the annual sales report, annual budget reports and update reports of the marketing department which is made on monthly basis (Thill and Bove 2013). Customer service documents Companies selling services includes certain documents like, warranty related documents, user manual for the customers, that includes information regarding the application method of the product (Thill and Bove 2013). Operational document Operational documents are basically information that are written on daily, weekly and monthly basis, meeting minutes, project proposals about the internal and external activities that business must carryout, are some of the examples of operational documents (Thill and Bove 2013). No I do not agree that Organizational information, budget, resources and technology requirements are not needed to be focused while setting up the standards for documents used in the organization, because all these information and factors are required, they form the basis for establishing the standards that are required for the business. All these details will be required to set the standards, documentation differs and depends on the audience it has been drafted for and the event for which documentation is done (Wilson 2014). The three documents that have been created from a standard documents are Business letters Business letters have a standard format, or can be said that the business letters have standard template, the elements of the template contains heading, date, subject, salutation, body and closing section. Business letters are used for a variety of purposes, it can be written to the customers as a reply to their queries, it can be sent to the suppliers for the supply related queries. Business letters are formal type of letters that are used in an organization for the purpose of communication (Tsun and Nikfarjam 2014). Notices also used standard format, the template of notices contain heading, notices do not have salutation, address is not required in the notices the most important part of the Notice is the heading, it should be designed in a way so that it can successfully draw attention of the employees or the people for whom the notice has been designed. Notices are mostly printed in the paper and placed in the notice board of any organization (Thill and Bove 2013). Brochures are informative papers that are used by any organization for providing information related to the organization or any product related information, in educational organizations brochures are used for providing information about the institute and also have important rules and regulations. Brochures are standard document that are used to provide information to the customers mostly. Brochures are single fold, bi-fold or it be designed with multiple folds as per the requirement of the information, the length of the information (Springer, Cham. May and May 2014). Yes, each of the elements fulfills the objective they are designed for. They design used for the documents is very appropriate, the objective of the message is clear from the subject section itself, the body of the notices and business letters clarifies the message more clearly. The body part provide the information about the reason for the message or the document (Sen et al. 2014). Business letter for the customers Our company has decided to open an online portal for our customers to book taxis online. Based on the research we conducted, surveys and feedbacks from our customers we came to know that customers are finding it very difficult to books taxis, some of our customers also suggested that online portal will be a very suitable solution for this problem. Based on the suggestions we have created our online portal, where the customers can go and book taxis online, they can enter their location and the taxi will pick them from their location and drop them to their desired location. A processing charge will be charged on all the bookings that will amount to $10. I would like to inform all our customers about the new facility of online website and invite them to use this service be benefited by the service by just paying $12 processing charge. The documents that will be used for providing training to the junior employees will be Brochures are documents that are used to provide information; the brochures for the training program will be made to provide the information related to the training that will be conducted. The employees will use it will be easy for them to get help for their training (Mihai-Adrian et al. 2017). Training Agenda Next document that will be used for the training will be the training agendas that will consist of the entire training schedule. Things that will be taught to the employees, according to the days. It will also consist matters that will be included in the training (Li et al. 2014). Feedback form Feedback forms are the most important documents that are provided to the trainees after the completion of training program to know the extent to which the training program was effective. It helps the trainer know the effectiveness of the training program and get suggestions about changes that could be made to make the training program more effective. It is basically the review of the trainees which can be used in the future training programs (Kroetsch et al. 2015). For testing the template that the employee has created first the format of the template is to be seen, format of any business template is very important, in case of legal firms, the templates usually contains names of the certain rules or regulations sometimes quoted clauses of any piece of regulation is mentioned. It is very important to check that the article no. of the piece of regulations mentioned is correct, the clauses are correctly mentioned. After checking the clauses and the regulations it is very important to check that the legal terms are appropriately used, because each of the legal terms have their own legal definitions, wrong use of the terms often changes the meaning of the sentence and often create problem (James, Lazdunski and Pattus 2013). The template for production of notice for appearance on behalf of the defendant, which was drafted by you. The draft was good and you have followed the format correctly. The format that was followed was good but I would like to mention that it was not exactly the standard format that we use for legal matters. The template lacked few thing that were supposed to be mentioned. It seemed very simple and the purpose was not clear in the draft. The rules should have been written in a more clear way so that it can be understood. So the template require some changes, the brief details of the case can be mentioned in the template and the date of appearance is missing that also needs to be mentioned. Kindly draft the template according to the review and the missing elements mentioned. Meeting agenda and minutes Meeting agenda is required to mention the issues that will be discussed in the meeting, the order of the discussions and the time taken for each of the subjects to be mentioned and discussed in the meeting. Meeting agenda focuses on the reason for which the meeting is conducted, the agenda should be simple, clear and well timed. Meeting agenda provides structure to the meeting. Generally, the meeting agenda is in the hardcopy format and is distributed among the participants of the meeting, in some cases the brief notice is mailed to the participants of the meeting, but the agenda is mostly in hard copy format. The meeting agenda is sometimes discussed orally or through digital presentation, the purpose is to make the participant of the meeting prepare beforehand about the meeting. A meeting agenda can be in form of soft copy using Microsoft word document and can be distributed through e-mails, or a hard copy of the meeting agenda can be made and it can be distributed to the members o f the meeting before the start of the meeting (Ionescu 2014). Meeting minutes Meeting minutes are basically the discussions and the activities of the meeting, unlike the meeting agenda the meeting minutes are drafted simultaneously with the meeting, in this every details of the meeting are mentioned, it includes the result of the meeting discussion and what were the conclusions of the meeting. Meeting minutes are either made on computers or written on notepads. (Hughes, Champion and Murdoch 2015). The three advanced technological function or application software used for document document design and production are Desktop publishing In desktop publishing, computer applications, digital graphics and multimedia formatting is used to make electronic documents. Digital pages can be created by desktop publishing, which can only be seen electronically. Virtual pages can also be created through desktop publishing, which can be transferred electronically. Desktop publishing is used to create a standard quality documents, which contains both text as well as graphics which is formatted for single page publication. It is used to make printed documents such as book covers, brochures, and fliers for advertisements. In an organization, desktop publishing is used for making brochures, fliers, pamphlets that contains product related information. Word processor Another computer program that is used for document design is word processor, it gives the users not just the text editing tools like WordPad program which is a part of Microsofts Windows OS. It was created to be used as text building programs, which are much simpler for using from the text editor, it is not just a text editor. Wang is the initial user of this, which popularized the workstation system designed for the secretaries and other staffs in the employees who has to create business letters and other important documents of the organization. Spreadsheet Spreadsheet in an organization is used for showing accounting and other data in rows and columns. Spreadsheets are computer application that is used for physical stimulation of spreadsheets through the capturing, displaying and manipulation of the data, which are arranged in rows and columns. Spreadsheets are one of the most common applications of personal computers. The data holding spaces in spreadsheets are termed as cells, based on the placement of the cells they are In order to identify the macro virus there are certain symptoms that needs to be identified: The computer will run a slower speed than it runs normally. The computer will ask for passwords for those files that does not require passwords. The documents are saved in the computer in the form of template files. Error messages will appear on the computer (Hughes and Foley 2014). Ways to resolve the problem of Macro virus Macro virus can be removed with the help of professional checking or it can be also checked manually by choosing ToolsMacro and then the resulting list of macros can be compared with the list that was created initially. Like all the other viruses and malwares, prevention is the best method for checking the viruses, which can be done by, updating the security system on regular basis so that it can be guard against the new viruses, updating the computer system for protection. Digital signature should be used so to identify sources of items to be downloaded so that one gets to know what they are downloading and running a program is not a risk. Good antivirus should be used so to ensure that computer is safe from all kinds of risk (Gardner 2013). Macro viruses are found in the within the documents or can be found as malicious codes in the word processing applications, they come in to the personal computers through the attached documents in emails, the code can be downloaded. The code can be downloaded after a click on phishing link, in online advertising that uses banners ads of the URLs. It is very difficult to be identified, because they are not operative until a default macro is on run in in the time they do a series of commands (Fan and Fujimoto 2017). Spreadsheets are one of the most common applications of personal computers. The data holding spaces in spreadsheets are termed as cells, based on the placement of the cells they are labeled. Mostly the spreadsheets are designed in a way that they can hold numbers, or short texts. It also helps in showing the relationships of the data graphically (Allen 2016). The presentation will be done based on the level of knowledge of the trainees, presentation will be made interesting so that the trainees don not find the presentation boring and lose interest in the presentation, that not help in meeting the needs of the training program. Only the relevant information will be included in the training. The name of the document would be Standard documentation Procedure which will be designed for the JK Sporting club. Standard Documentation Procedure All the documents will follow a standard format that is used for that particular document. Before the document are circulated it will be review by the senior manager who will be handling the document drafting. The personnel will check that the documents have followed the standard used for official purposes. All the documents will be saved for future purposes and will have multiple copies all saved in different locations of the computer. The document will be circulated through e-mails. The master copy of the document will be saved in computer files in which all the necessary The document will be called as guidelines used for mentoring the standards of documentation the document will be circulated through the help of emails, printouts of the document will also be taken out and distributed among the employees. The master document will be stored safely in the computers so that it can be further used as record (Bangert-Drowns 2014). The copies of the templates and the macros will be as per the requirement of the document. There was a regular review conducted regarding the use of the Macros and templates that are used by the employees in the organization and it is very concerning matter that the format that is used by the employees for creating business letters, brochures and notices are most of the times wrongly drafted. Many times there are minor mistakes but many times there are major mistakes that often creates problems for the audience to whom the business letters are addressed. Rest other things are properly incorporated in the report only the format of the templates and the macros that are used should be corrected. It has been noted the format that was provided by me to the employees are not correctly used and hence there are many issues related to the templates and macros designs. Yes, I agree that once the documents have been drafted aacording to the standard, there is no requirement for continuously reviewing it, because it would be wastage of time and money. The standard documentation procedure will itself be the guideline for good quality document. If the standard procedure is correct and as per the organizational requirement there would be no need for reviewing repeatedly. However, there has to be personnel who will check all the document has fulfilled all the requirements, just once. References Allen, A., 2016.
